Introduction
During my engineering internship at True Platform, I designed and developed an intelligent SEO Content Optimization Suite.
The application tackles common daily pain points faced by digital marketers, content strategists, and copywriters:
- Uncertainty about whether a written article adheres to the latest search engine ranking guidelines.
- Tedious hours spent manually auditing competitor search results and mapping keywords.
- The need to rapidly draft and iterate on SEO-friendly prose without sacrificing tone or originality.
The product was engineered atop an in-house PHP framework, with a Vanilla JavaScript + jQuery frontend, seamlessly integrating specialized SEO data APIs and generative AI models.
My Role & Responsibilities
- Gathered domain requirements and mapped the entire product lifecycle from ideation to release.
- Developed the frontend: rich text editor, real-time SEO scoring panel, keyword density heatmaps, and competitor comparison matrices.
- Engineered the backend: integrated OpenAI API, DataForSEO, Google Search Console API, and asynchronous web scrapers.
- Optimized performance through intelligent API response caching and message queues for asynchronous bulk copy generation.
Key Capabilities
1. Real-Time SEO Scoring
- Live evaluation of title length, meta description, heading structure (H1-H4), keyword density, and article depth.
- Displays an aggregate SEO Health Score alongside actionable improvement suggestions directly within the editor.
2. Semantic Keyword Recommendations
- Generates contextual LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) keywords and related queries derived from primary search intent.
- Guides authors on optimal placement within headings, introductory paragraphs, and image alt attributes.
3. AI Content Assistance
- One-click generative drafting based on selected keywords and target voice tone.
- Insert snippets directly into the canvas or refine tone and reading level interactively.
4. Competitor SERP Analysis
- Automatically crawls and parses the top 10 Google search results for the target query.
- Audits competitor heading layouts, word counts, and keyword distribution with side-by-side comparison charts.
5. Multi-Variant Bulk Generation
- Generate varied article angles and headlines from a single brief for A/B testing or multi-domain deployment.
- Queue-backed background jobs guarantee smooth UI performance during large-batch generations.
Technical Implementation
